E&T supplies twisted-pair UTP, FTP, STP and S-FTP cables, as well as single-mode and multi-mode fibre optic cables made to order from our stock for building and installing Local Area Networks in new and existing offices or for laying data networks in industrial areas. With our total package of fibre optic converters, switches and the accompanying management system, E&T can also provide solutions for fibre optic networks (FTTD and FTTO).

If required, we can supply these products as total systems, complete with patch boxes and patch panels, connectors, patch cables, telephone panels, switch panels, tools and specialist expertise. Many of these network components are purchased ready-made from international manufacturers. We also design and manufacture a number of copper and fibre optic patch cables ourselves.

Besides individual components, we also supply complete data network systems which can be certified in accordance with the Cat. 5e, 6 and 7 (draft) standards. These networks have a life-long guarantee if they are supplied and fitted by one of our certified engineers! For reliable and efficient network management, E&T has hardware and software which control and manage the real time port activity. In addition, our KVM switches can be used to provide even more structure to your network configuration.

If you are not able to use a cable network, then we have a complete range of wireless data communication products. These networks are used in locations such as large company premises where it is too expensive to lay fixed cables, offices with a large number of ambulant employees and their laptop computers, data networks in listed buildings or connections in temporary or rented premises. They can also be used in locations which are separated by water or roads, or simply as a replacement for rented, expensive 2 MB telephone lines.

With combined data and telephone radio links, distances of up to 30 kilometres can be spanned. These systems are for users who wish to have a cost efficient network. Examples of such users are banks, schools, government organizations and large company premises.
